Dr. Michael Vennemeyer, who specializes in trauma reconstruction surgery along with cosmetic and breast reconstruction surgery, joined Columbus' Metropolitan Plastic Surgery in 2007. His philosophy is simple, that talking through the surgery with the patient is just as important as the surgery itself, "My number one goal during a consultation is to educate patients about a potential surgery so they can make the most informed decision possible." He also believes that improving someone's appearance has a positive effect on their self image, "They're more likely to eat well, exercise, have healthier relationships and a better quality of life."
